Can't make an appointment? No problem! This page provides an overview of our Cancellation Policy.

Why Regular  Attendance Matters 

As a dedicated Play Therapist, I am committed to providing a safe, predictable therapeutic environment for your child. Consistent attendance ensures that your child gains the full benefits of Play Therapy. Missed or last-minute cancellations not only disrupt your child's progress but also limit opportunities for other families on the waitlist.

I understand that unexpected situations arise, and I do my best to accommodate where possible.

However, in fairness to all clients and to ensure the sustainability of my practice, the following cancellation policy applies:

Client Cancellations: Notice Requirement

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify Amy at least two business days in advance. This notice period allows me to offer the appointment slot to another family in need.

  • Cancellations made with less than two business days’ notice will incur a fee of 50% of the session cost.

  • No-Shows (Missed Appointments) will be charged 100% of the session fee.

 

Illness and Sickness

If a child or parent/carer is exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or flu-like symptoms, please do not attend the session in person. Please contact Amy as soon as you are able.
 
In such cases, I will make every effort to transfer your session to a telehealth session, if feasible. If a telehealth session is not possible, standard cancellation fees will apply.
 

Therapist Cancellations

As a sole practitioner, I make every effort to maintain reliable scheduling. However, in the rare event that I need to cancel a session, there will be no charge, and I will work with you to reschedule at the earliest convenience.

Attendance & Ongoing Bookings

Consistent attendance is key to your child's therapy success. If there are three or more cancellations within a short period, we may need to review whether ongoing therapy remains suitable at this time.
